Background
Organization, in partnership with GIZ-SSARC, is implementing a project named MHPSS- Digi Live Support Program in four districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, with the Program Goal of “To strengthen social cohesion and foster enhanced resilience, self-reliance, and psychosocial well-being among Afghan refugees and host communities in Peshawar, Nowshera, Charsadda, and Mardan districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan. Promoting social cohesion aims to facilitate a dignified life for all individuals”
Organization, aim to improve/increase the income potential of 230 Afghan and host community men and women beneficiaries in program districts, who recently completed a three-month vocational training course in dressmaking and beautician skills. To further enhance their economic opportunities, Organization now plans to conduct a three-day Enterprise Development Training at community level focused on business management and entrepreneurship. Organization, will seek the services of 5 males and 8 female Master trainer/individual consultant for Enterprise development Training.
Objectives of the assignment
- To conduct Enterprise Development training for business startup with the consultation of Program staff
- To Plan and Conduct Three days long 13 enterprise development trainings
- To equip the target community with the required tool and techniques to start and run proposed businesses successfully.
Scope of Work
- To develop EDT material for training devilry i.e. IEC/pictorial material for illiterate/uneducated community etc
- Travel to field and conduct field based Enterprise Development Trainings
- Conduct/deliver Enterprise Development trainings in targeted areas of Peshawar, Nowshera, Charsadda and Mardan

Training Delivery
The selected individual will deliver the training according to standard procedures and session plans provided by the individual. Trainer’s will provide visual illustrations, background material, and guidance notes on session plans. The key topic will include,
Enterprise Development Training (EDT)
- Basic concepts of business and business cycle
- Identification and selection of business
- 6 principles (6 Ps) of marketing
- Essential entrepreneurial competencies
- Market Assessment (link with 6 Ps)
- Supply and value chains (demand and supply)
- Budgeting, costing and business feasibility development
- Book-keeping/record-keeping
- Business Plans (preparation and checking)
- EDT Functional Literacy
Business Management
- Basic concepts of business and business cycle management
- Selection of business and its management
- Essential entrepreneurial competencies
- Types of business
Assets Management
- What are assets and what is their management?
- Effective management and operation of given assets
Financial Literacy
- Budgeting and costing (Importance of a budget, how to make a simple budget
- Record/book keeping
- Savings (Concept and importance of saving, saving types and their benefits)
Expected result of EDT
By the end of the training, trainees should be able to:
- Understand and discuss the basic concepts of business and relate it to their future business.
- Understand and discuss the steps involved in enterprise establishment and development.
- Know the techniques of feasibility survey and market survey.
- Know the importance of linkages and able them how to create productive linkages.
- Identify the economic opportunities that are prevailing in the commercial market and plan how to start a business.
- Maintain records of day-to-day transactions.
- Equip the trainees with the technique of how to run a successful enterprise
Methodology
The training will be conducted in a participatory and interactive environment, fostering engagement through practical activities, experience sharing, and relevant local examples. The trainer will employ a facilitative approach, encouraging active participation and discussion among participants. Key components of the methodology will include, Group Assignments and Case Studies, interactive Presentations and Discussions and Practical Exercises.
Key tasks of the assignment:
The individual/ Master trainers will be responsible of the following tasks,
- Arrangement/preparation of required material i.e. handouts for Three days Enterprise Development Training.
- Design pre and post training assessment tool by considering the literacy rate of the participants of the training
- Training plan with deadlines of submission of deliverables
- Conduct designated group EDT sessions, each lasting 3 days
- Submission of training report
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Master trainers must demonstrate the necessary skills and qualifications to successfully carry out this assignment. Selection criteria will be based on education, relevant training experience, expertise in implementing training programs, and familiarity with local knowledge and context, as outlined below.
INDIVIDUAL CONSULTANT/ Master Trainers
a. He/she should have significant experience in leading and co-leading similar assignments with valid documentary evidence.
b. Strong track record with at least 5 years of experience in developing training modules, and in designing and rolling out training programmes (of national/provincial scale) with national and/or international agencies.
c. The applicant should have a Master degree in relevant discipline or 16 years of education
d. The candidate should be able to understand and speak the local language, i.e., Pashto.
The selected individual consultant/Master Trainer will be responsible for their boarding/lodging and travel to training venue.
Payment schedule: The consultant’s/master trainer will receive payment as per following deliverables;
80% at the completion of the sessions
20% on submission of final reports
