Objective:

The Senior Renewable Energy Officer will lead the technical and strategic aspects of the renewable energy initiatives under the BCRE project. The role involves overseeing the design, implementation, and monitoring of renewable energy project, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development and design of renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, and other sustainable energy solutions. Oversee the technical planning, execution, and commissioning of renewable energy installations. Provide expert technical guidance and support to project teams in the implementation of renewable energy technologies. Develop technical specifications and support in procurement of renewable energy equipment and services. Establish and implement robust monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess the performance and impact of renewable energy project. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address any technical challenges. Promote the exchange of knowledge and best practices among project teams, partners, and beneficiaries. Stay informed about national and international policies, regulations, and standards related to renewable energy. Engage with government agencies, private sector companies, academic institutions, and community organizations to promote renewable energy initiatives. Represent the project at national and international forums, conferences, and meetings. Develop and implement strategies to ensure the long-term sustainability and scalability of renewable energy projects. Promote the adoption of sustainable practices throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

A Master’s degree in Renewable Energy, Engineering or a related field.

Experience: A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the renewable energy sector, with a focus on project design, implementation, and management.

Skills:

In-depth knowledge of renewable energy technologies, including solar, wind, biomass, and energy storage systems. Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale renewable energy projects. Strong leadership, project management, and team coordination skills. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing technical challenges.

Language: Proficiency in English and local language is required.

Preferred: Experience working in Balochistan or similar contexts.

Familiarity with the regulatory environment for renewable energy in Pakistan
