The Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan is seeking a seasoned and Dynamic Nursing Assistant/Community Midwife/ Lady Health Visitor for its Karachi Region under Elderly Care Project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accompany Nurse during household visits sample collection and assessments 
• Facilitate Nurse in data collection and screening of Elderly population
• Compile study data following ethical principles and study protocol
• Maintain log sheets to keep track of field activities
• Address missing data by contacting participants as per protocol
• Conduct household visits to provide home health services to elderly patients
• Support Nurse in sample collection, and preservation of sample for transportation to Lab.
• Facilitate project nurses during home visits in carrying out services
• Update data and records of patients visited on daily basis
• Ensure all records are updated in its completeness
• Assist nurses in coordinating daily plans
• of home visits
• Provide nursing care under supervision of RNs and ensure relevant documentation
• Monitor and record patient’s vital signs and inform RN

Qualification & Experience:

• Completed Health Care Assistant training from AKUH or any other recognized institute or CMW course or LHV course
• 1-2 years of clinical experience, home health experience/certification in first aid/Heart Saver would be preferable.
• Knowledge of early warning signs and basic disease and their symptoms
• Having good interpersonal skills
• Competent in taking all vital signs of the patient and performing hygiene skills for the patient independently
