Call for Trainers:

Two-Day Capacity Building Training for Emerging Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs) in Tehsil Sadiqabad, Rahim Yar Khan District | Training in May 2025

We are pleased to invite applications from qualified and experienced trainers to facilitate a two-day capacity-building workshop aimed at empowering emerging Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs) in Tehsil Sadiqabad, District Rahim Yar Khan.

This initiative focuses on equipping local groups of persons with disabilities with the skills, knowledge, and motivation to operate as formal, independent organizations that champion the rights and inclusion of other Persons With Disabilities in their communities.

Training Objectives

• Build knowledge and skills for establishing and managing formal OPDs.

• Strengthen leadership, advocacy, and organizational development capacities.

• Promote inclusive access to health, education, and economic opportunities.

• Enable PWDs to lead independent lives and mobilize others in their communities.

• Encourage sustainability, collaboration, and rights-based development.

Training Details

• Duration: 2 days

• Location: Tehsil Sadiqabad, Rahim Yar Khan

• Timeline: Scheduled for May 2025 (dates will be finalized with selected trainers)

10. Peer Empowerment and Mobilization Strategies

Trainer Requirements

• Demonstrated experience delivering trainings to or with persons with disabilities.

• Strong understanding of disability rights, OPD development, and inclusive practices.

• Expertise in one or more thematic areas listed above.

• Familiarity with rural and underserved contexts; South Punjab experience is a plus.

• Fluency in Urdu and/or local language(s) preferred.

• Persons with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply.
