Purpose 

Logistics Site Manager is in charge of logistics activities within a sub-delegation. S/he ensures that logistics systems are in place and operational and provides technical and operational support for purchasing, warehousing, stock management, Transport activities and statistics, in accordance with the ICRC’s logistics standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Leads multiple teams of Logistics Staff members in order to ensure that Logistics activities performed in the Peshawar Sub Delegation are as per ICRC required standards and protocols.
  • Oversees and supervises day-to-day logistics activities and ensures the highest service delivery.
  • Sets up, adapts, and maintains infrastructure according to needs, in collaboration with the Logistics Country Manager.
  • Is responsible for implementing logistics and financial procedures on-site in accordance with the logistics and FAD strategies for the country.
  • Regularly monitor tableau reports, ensure that the KPIs are met, and develop action plans for improvement.
  • Manages supply-chain requests and ensures they are treated in a timely fashion; supervises customer desk service and carries out related reporting.
  • Participates in collaborative demand planning meetings, and bilateral forecast meetings with the department heads in sub-delegation.
  • Plans and oversees procurement activities (purchase orders, supplier files, sourcing, etc. in collaboration with Buyer.
  • Ensure maximum availability and implement control mechanisms for all logistics assets (vehicles, generators).
  • Coordinates with VFM and Fleet team in Sub delegation to ensure Fleet SOPs are followed and implemented.
  • Coordinates with dispatcher to ensure fleet resources are optimized and utilized efficiently.
  • Coordinate with the Impex officer in arranging and executing custom clearance of incoming cargo.
  • Ensure transport management of the cargo is handled with ICRC standards.
  • Follows up the supply pipeline with the delegation, the logistics Hub, and/or the region and the headquarters, including for import-export activities where necessary.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and budget forecasting in coordination with delegation leadership for the cost centre(s) under his/her responsibility.
  • Ensures that risks are mitigated by performing the controls assigned to his/her role as described in the Logistics Risk and Control Matrix.

Main Requirements:

  1. University degree (bachelor's) in logistics, supply chain, procurement, business administration, or related field.
  2. Minimum 4/5 years of relevant work experience in managing supply chain, Transport, procurement, warehouse, or related field is required.
  3. Experience working in commercial, military, or humanitarian logistics, a plus.
  4. Experience in handling medical items including cold chain will be considered as an asset.
  5. Computer proficiency and knowledge of specialized software e.g., Enterprise Resource Planning System or similar software is required.
  6. Fluency in English is required- Knowledge of Urdu and local language.
